Phuket Cruises

Phuket is a large island located in the south western region of Thailand and is one of the world’s premiere cruise destinations. The capital city of the island is Phuket City. It is located 862 km south of Bangkok, Thailand’s capital city.

Phuket is visited by thousands of tourists each year that come for its:

  • Natural beauty
  • Family fun

Dubbed the ‘pearl of the Andaman’ by marketing executives, this is Thailand’s original tailor-made fun in the sun, and it is clear to see.

Beaches are almost as common as towns in Phuket, with Patong Beach being the centre of attention for most tourists. With so much to do and see on this supreme island it will be hard to leave!

Cruise Lines

Phuket one of the prime cruise destinations of all time, there is definitely no shortage of cruise lines sailing to the island. These include prestigious companies such as:

  • Princess Cruises
  • Royal Caribbean
  • Holland America Line

All of them offer great deals on cruises around Oceania and Asia, with Phuket included as one of the great stopovers. These also stop off at other prominent destinations:

  • Perth
  • Kuala Lumpur
  • Singapore

Things to Do & See

Water sports and activities are widespread on the island. All 4 Diving is the island’s premiere diving school and recreational centre. Not only this, but it happens to be one of the best dive superstores in Phuket.

Phuket along with the likes of Bali and Bamboo Island is recognized as one of the best surfing destinations in South East Asia.

Fear not, there is plenty of fun for all the family:

  • Half-Day Safari Tour – you will be treated to the unspoiled scenery of the island from the top of an elephant’s back
  • The Big Buddha is one of the island’s most important and iconic landmarks. The religious ornament sits on top of the Nakkerd Hills.

The Best Time to Visit

Phuket is good to visit all-year round as it never gets too cold. However, many are scared off by the notion of the rainy season that generally lasts from May to October.

The most popular time to visit is December to March. This means:

  • Tourist crowds
  • High prices

If you are not into that, do consider booking a cruise for the low season months such as June and July:

  • The prices will be almost halved
  • No crowds
  • Roads are less busy
