Ship Data
Voyager of the Seas, a prestigious vessel from Royal Caribbean’s large fleet, used to be the largest cruise ship in the world. On its maiden voyage in 1999, the 138 000 ton and 1020 foot-long vessel simply dwarfed all other cruise liners. It may have been outsized in recent years by the monster ships of Royal Caribbean’s Oasis Class, but it is no less impressive! It still fits an impressive number of passengers (3114, to be precise) with room to spare.
There are five categories of cabin available onboard Voyager of the Seas. You can choose between balcony cabins, luxury balcony suites, inside cabins, and cabins facing inwards with Promenade views. These Promenade-facing cabins guarantee that you will never feel left out onboard, since you can serenely watch life going on below as passengers stroll up and down the impressive shopping-mall area. Another innovative cabin on board is the new virtual balcony stateroom. These staterooms are inside cabins but with large screen windows which play a live stream of the scenery you are passing.
There is so much to do on Voyager of the Seas that you will wish that every day was a sea day! Some of the most fun activities to do onboard are the exhilarating FlowRider, where you can surf, boogie board or wake board on the top deck against the tide simulator. For those not quite daring enough to face the waves, it also makes a fun viewing opportunity! There is ample opportunity to bag yourself a spot by the pool on Voyager of the Seas, simply because there are 10 onboard pools and whirlpools to choose from! If you fancy watching the latest sporting event or a movie, hang out by the 220-square foot poolside outdoor screen. Throughout the ship you will find digital way-finders which will not only show you where you are and how to get from A to B (this may sound silly, but the screens do come in handy on big ships like the Voyager!), but will also let you know what activities and shows are lined up for the day.
