Where is the Pacific Explorer sailing to?

You can tell from the name what P&O Australia does best: cruises close to home. However, don’t think that this leaves you with boring itineraries, or limits you to short three-day getaways. CruiseAway offers a range of Pacific Explorer cruises which sail to incredible iconic spots all over Australia, the South Pacific and Asia.
Cruise around Australia not only to see the bigger cities such as Sydney, Melbourne and Brisbane but also smaller, more secluded locations. Discover beautiful gems on the Australian coastline such as Airlie beach or Cairns, where you can venture into Daintree tropical forest or explore the Great Barrier Reef. See Tasmania during a stop in Hobart, where you can experience the unique culture of this island including MONA, the controversial art museum.
If you travel a little further away from home on board the Pacific Explorer, you’ll discover some beautiful locations in the South Pacific Ocean. See smaller islands such as Port Denarau, of Fiji, or Mutiny on the Bounty, a completely uninhabited and untouched island with serene beaches and warm waters. Noumea, the Capital of New Caledonia is a popular spot in the South Pacific and its easy to see why, with both incredible architecture and cathedrals in the city as well as an exciting waterfront packed with beach activities.
And finally, if cruising around Asia sounds like your perfect getaway, let P&O’s Pacific Explorer whisk you away. Paradisal islands like Bali are simply waiting for you to come and relax under the hot sun, enjoy a cocktail by the sea and explore the landscape.

Life on board Pacific Explorer

There is a laid back and inviting atmosphere around the Pacific Explorer, created by a mixture of things. There’s not much of a dress code so expect to see mostly shorts and t-shirts as you explore the ship during the day, and in the evening feel free to interpret your idea of “smart casual”. However, don’t forget to pack a few special pieces, so you can dress to the nines for one of the spectacular themed nights, whether it be Gatsby’s 1920’s glamour, or get dolled up in all white for the Bianco party. The Pacific Explorer’s décor also creates a warm environment, perfect for enjoying a relaxing drink in the evening, or laying out on the bay windows turned day beds and soaking up the sunshine. The ship is decked out in comfy seating areas which really makes you slow down and feel at ease.
The Pacific Explorer’s outside decks are a wonderful spot to enjoy some amazing weather, whether it be having an action-packed day at the pool or chilling in the jacuzzi. Five pools, including a kids waterpark, are perfect for swimming, racing down water slides or simply cooling off while you sunbathe. If you’re not interested in getting in the water, you can try out some of the sports and games happening on the green. Enjoy an Australian classic game of lawn bowls or challenge a fellow passenger to a table tennis match.
