The Best Time to Visit

Airlie Beach and the surrounding Whitsundays region is ideally located in the tropics, so the average year-round temperatures are between 23°C and 30°C.

Still, there are months that are better for a cruise over to Airlie Beach, like the shoulder season months of April to May and November to December:

  • April to May – its not so hot and humid anymore, the temperatures are comfortable and days are clear.
  • November to Decemberwarm and pleasant outside, plus the school holiday crowds haven’t reached yet.

June to October is the most popular time for visitors, meaning that there will be crowds everywhere and the prices will go up.
