Dining on Viking Lyra

Viking Lyra offers a range of dining venues — from a fully included main restaurant to specialist à la carte experiences — so guests can eat as casually or as formally as the evening calls for.

The Restaurant is the ship's main dining venue, serving regional specialities and timeless classics surrounded by floor-to-ceiling ocean views. It is included in your cruise fare. For a lighter, livelier option, the World Café on Deck 7 features open kitchens with live cooking, international dishes, and premium sushi and seafood; you can eat inside or step out onto the Aquavit Terrace®, where you dine directly above the sea with your destination as the backdrop.

The Pool Grill on Deck 7 keeps things casual — freshly prepared dishes and a salad bar alongside the pool, all included in your fare. The Wintergarden on Deck 7 Midship serves complimentary afternoon tea with finger sandwiches, scones, pastries and classical music beside the main pool. Mamsen's®, tucked into the Explorers' Lounge, brings authentic Norwegian specialities from breakfast through to dinner at no extra cost.

For something more special, The Chef's Table offers a multi-course tasting menu with sommelier-paired wines — reservations are required and a cover charge applies. Manfredi's Italian Restaurant® recreates an authentic Italian trattoria atmosphere, with à la carte pricing and a private dining room available. The Kitchen Table on Deck 1 Aft is an interactive culinary experience centred on local ingredients and cooking techniques; confirm at booking whether it is included in your fare or carries a reservation fee.

Bars, lounges and entertainment

The social heart of Viking Lyra is The Living Room, where generous seating, live classical music from the Viking Resident Musicians and a calm atmosphere make it an easy place to unwind. Entry is complimentary; beverages and food are charged separately unless covered by your package.

Torshavn® channels the golden age of Hollywood jazz lounges, with live music and cocktails in a relaxed evening atmosphere. The Explorers' Lounge takes its cue from grand voyages of discovery: two-storey panoramic windows frame the horizon, and it doubles as home to Mamsen's. The Atrium provides a generous central meeting point, and the Clinker Bar within it evokes Nordic longship design — a distinctive setting for a pre-dinner drink. Beverages carry a separate charge at all bars unless you hold a beverage package.

The Theater seats up to 450 guests for lectures, films and TED Talks on a large screen, and can be divided into two HD cinemas depending on the programme. Admission is included in your fare.

Pools, spa and sport

Viking Lyra carries two pools, both open to all guests. The Main Pool with Retractable Roof is heated and suited to any weather — the retractable roof means swimming is possible year-round, and the poolside screen shows films in the evenings. The Infinity Pool is one of the first of its kind at sea: floor-to-ceiling windows create the sensation of swimming at the heart of your destination, with a hot tub alongside and the Aquavit Terrace steps away for evening dining.

The Nordic Spa is included in your fare for general access — the sauna and snow grotto are complimentary, while individual treatments and classes carry a separate charge. The Fitness Centre is equipped with treadmills, elliptical machines and exercise bikes, plus open space for free weights, yoga and pilates; equipment use is complimentary, though some classes may be charged. The Sports Deck offers a running track, boccie, mini golf and shuffleboard in the open air; guided classes such as yoga carry an additional charge. The Hair Salon is available for styling and the Royal Nordic Hair Ritual, charged separately.

The Penthouse Veranda Stateroom (PV1) at 33.4 m² sleeps up to four and includes a private veranda with enhanced sea views — meaningfully more space than the standard Deluxe grades. At the top of the range, the Owner's Suite (OS) covers 134.5 m² and sleeps up to four across separate bedroom, living room and dining areas that seat six, a private library and an ocean-view dry sauna — the largest multi-room suite on board.
