Bars, lounges and entertainment

Viking Astrea's social spaces are designed around conversation and discovery rather than spectacle. The Living Room sits at the heart of the ship, with generous seating, Viking Resident Musicians performing live classical music, and curated activities — entry is free, beverages and food charged separately. Torshavn® evokes the golden age of Hollywood jazz lounges, with live music and cocktails in an intimate setting; beverages are charged separately. The Clinker Bar in the Living Room atrium takes its design inspiration from ancient Nordic longships, giving a unique atmosphere for drinks — again, beverages charged separately unless covered by a package.

The Explorers' Lounge features two-storey panoramic windows framing the ocean, drawing its name from the great voyages of discovery. The Atrium is a central meeting point with a generous sense of open space and a relaxed atmosphere for cocktails.

The Theater seats up to 450 guests and shows lectures, films and TED Talks on a large screen; it can also be divided into two HD cinemas depending on the programme. Admission is included in your fare.

Pools, spa and active spaces

Viking Astrea has two pools, both included in your fare. The Main Pool with Retractable Roof enables year-round swimming regardless of conditions, and doubles as an outdoor cinema in the evenings. The Infinity Pool — one of the first of its kind at sea — is fronted by floor-to-ceiling windows that dissolve the boundary between ship and sea, with a hot tub alongside.

The Nordic Spa is open to all guests as a wellness oasis: access is complimentary, with a sauna, snow grotto and fitness space included; individual treatments and classes carry a separate charge. The Fitness Centre provides treadmills, elliptical machines, exercise bikes and open space for yoga and pilates — use of the equipment is complimentary, though some classes are charged.
