Where does Cunard sail in 2027–2028?

Cunard’s 2027–2028 season spans the globe, with sailings running from October 2027 through to May 2028. The biggest share of departures cross the Atlantic, followed by a strong programme of British Isles voyages. Round-the-world sailings, Transpacific crossings, Mediterranean Sea itineraries and Norway cruises fill out the season, with further sailings to the Caribbean, the South Africa region and the Canary Islands. The itinerary the call at ports across three continents, with durations running from short breaks to grand voyages of up to 117 nights. The median sailing is 16 nights — long enough to genuinely get away.

More than half the sailings on this season are one-way crossings, so it is worth thinking about both ends of the voyage rather than just the departure port. A transatlantic sailing that starts in Southampton and finishes in New York, for example, is a two-city trip in one booking — we can arrange the flights and a hotel at either end to complete the holiday.

Which ports do Cunard 2027–2028 sailings depart from?

The main embarkation ports for this season are:

  • Southampton, England — the largest share of departures, with no flight needed if you are travelling from the UK
  • New York, United States — a classic starting point for transatlantic and Caribbean voyages
  • Miami, Florida — worth checking alongside nearby Fort Lauderdale (Port Everglades), which is roughly half an hour away and can offer different dates and prices
  • Sydney, Australia — a small share of sailings depart from home waters; if you are in another Australian state, a short domestic hop gets you to the ship
  • Hamburg, Germany
  • Hong Kong — the departure point for several South East Asian itineraries

For the Sydney departures: if you are already in New South Wales, you can board with no flight at all. Travelling from another state, a domestic connection is straightforward — and still far shorter than any international haul. On one-way sailings that finish in a different city, we can connect the return leg with a domestic or international flight so nothing is left for you to organise separately.

The Cunard fleet in 2027–2028

Four ships carry the Cunard flag this season. Here is what each one offers.

Queen Anne — Cunard’s newest ship

Queen Anne entered service in 2024, making her the freshest addition to the fleet. She blends the Art Deco elegance Cunard is known for with a modern sensibility that gives the ship a distinctly contemporary feel without losing the White Star tradition. At The Golden Lion pub, the menu was developed with Michelin-starred chef Michael Roux — proper British pub food at sea, which is rarer than it sounds. After dinner, the grand Queens Room ballroom is where the dancing happens, and the Carinthia Lounge offers live music and cocktails at a more relaxed pace. Explore Queen Anne’s cabins and deck plans to find the grade that suits you.

Queen Anne cabin grades (inside to suite):

  • Britannia Inside IA — 13.7 m², with a personal cabin steward available 24 hours
  • Britannia Deluxe Ocean-view EA — 21.9 m², with a separate seating area and around 3 m² more space than the standard ocean-view grade
  • Britannia Club Balcony A1 — 21.9 m², with exclusive access to the Britannia Club Restaurant and a reserved table
  • Queens Grill Grand Suite Q1 — 133.8 m², the largest category on board and more than twice the size of the Master Suite

Queen Elizabeth

Step aboard Queen Elizabeth and the Art Deco detail is the first thing you notice — chandeliers, promenade decks, and an atmosphere that consciously recalls the golden age of ocean travel. Cunard’s White Star Service means your table in the Britannia, Princess or Queens Grill restaurant is set exactly as you would hope. Days at sea are spent at deck croquet or in the Royal Court Theatre; evenings in the Queens Room ballroom. See the full range of Queen Elizabeth cabins and deck plans before you decide.

  • Britannia Inside Deluxe GB — 19.2 m², around 5 m² larger than the standard inside grade
  • Britannia Ocean-view EB — 18.3 m², with a cabin window for natural daylight and sea views
  • Britannia Club Balcony A1 — 24.0 m², with a private balcony and sea view
  • Queens Grill Grand Suite Q1 — 127.7 m², with a private balcony of approximately 90 m²

Queen Mary 2

Queen Mary 2 is the world’s last true ocean liner, and the transatlantic crossing is the voyage she was built for. What sets her apart from any other ship at sea is the Planetarium — the only one afloat, where guests lie back under a star-filled dome for an experience no other cruise line can match. Ballroom dancing lessons, the elegance of the Queens Room, and White Star Service throughout make QM2 a destination as much as a means of getting somewhere. Review the Queen Mary 2 cabins and deck plans for the full picture.

  • Britannia Inside HB (atrium view) — 14.8 m², the only inside cabin with a view of QM2’s impressive atrium
  • Britannia Solo Outside KB — 16.5 m², designed exclusively for solo travellers with no single supplement
  • Britannia Balcony BU (covered loggia) — 25.0 m², with a sheltered loggia that gives fresh air and sea views in any weather
  • Queens Grill Grand Duplex Suite Q1 — 208.9 m² across two levels, more than twice the space of any other Queens Grill suite on board

Queen Victoria

Queen Victoria is Cunard’s most intimate ship — large enough to feel like a proper ocean liner, compact enough that you will not spend your holiday getting lost in corridors. White-gloved Afternoon Tea in the Queens Room, Gala evenings, and the Royal Court Theatre’s programme of vocalists, illusionists and aerial performers give the ship its own particular rhythm. Check the Queen Victoria cabins and deck plans to compare grades.

World cruise from Australia — what are your options?

Cunard’s round-the-world programme is one of the reasons this season draws so much interest from Australian travellers. The world cruise sector voyages let you join or leave the circumnavigation at different points, so you are not locked into a single embarkation. Full world cruises of up to 117 nights are available, while sector sailings give you a meaningful slice of the globe without committing to the whole journey.

If you are planning a world cruise from Sydney, the world cruise from Sydney page has further options. For the broader picture of what is available from Australia, world cruises from Australia covers multiple lines and ships.

Dedicated Cunard world cruise sector programmes for both 2027 and 2028 are available for Queen Elizabeth in 2027, Queen Elizabeth in 2028, Queen Mary 2 in 2027, Queen Mary 2 in 2028, Queen Victoria in 2027 and Queen Victoria in 2028.

Are there any discounts on Cunard 2027–2028 sailings?

A selection of sailings carry a reduced fare — measured against the price previously listed for that cabin grade on that same departure. The reduction reaches up to 19% on one sailing, with most discounted departures sitting at around 10% off. Fare types such as early-saver and last-minute promotions appear across the season, so it is worth checking regularly. Our cruise experts can tell you which departures currently carry a reduced rate when you call.

How do I get to my Cunard departure port?

The great majority of Cunard’s 2027–2028 departures are from ports in the United Kingdom, the United States and Germany, so most bookings from Australia involve an international flight. That is where a DreamAway Package earns its place: we book the cruise, the flights, the hotel the night before departure, the transfers between airport and port, and any tours you want along the way — all on a single booking so nothing falls through the gap.

The handful of Sydney departures are a different proposition. If you are in New South Wales, you can drive or take a train to the terminal. Travelling from another state, a short domestic flight is all it takes — still the most straightforward way to reach a ship of this calibre, and we can include that domestic leg in the same package.

For one-way sailings — and more than half the season is one-way — we handle the return connection too, whether that is a domestic hop or an international flight home from wherever the voyage ends.

*Prices are per person based on 2 people sharing, and are subject to change. This price is not kept up to date and therefore does not reflect live pricing and availability. Prices and any discounts shown were checked on 14 October 2026.

Where a discount is shown, it is a reduction from the price previously listed for that cabin grade on that sailing, not a comparison between cabin grades or against a brochure rate.
