Dining on Viking Honir

Viking Honir offers a wide range of dining venues, from an included main restaurant to speciality spaces that reward a reservation.

The Restaurant is the main dining room, with floor-to-ceiling windows framing the passing river and regional specialities alongside timeless classics — all covered by your cruise fare. For something lighter and more casual, the World Café on Deck 7 Aft features open kitchens with live cooking and international dishes, including premium sushi and seafood, with the option to step out onto Aquavit Terrace® and dine under the open sky.

The Pool Grill on Deck 7 serves freshly prepared casual fare by the water, and the Wintergarden on Deck 7 Midship hosts complimentary afternoon tea with finger sandwiches, scones, pastries and live classical music. Mamsen's®, located in the Explorers' Lounge, brings authentic Norwegian flavours — available from breakfast through dinner at no extra cost.

For a more considered evening, Manfredi's Italian Restaurant® on Aft Deck 1 offers à la carte Italian trattoria dining with a private dining room option. The Chef's Table, also on Aft Deck 1, pairs a multi-course tasting menu with sommelier-selected wines — reservations are required and a charge applies. The Kitchen Table on Deck 1 Aft is an interactive culinary experience centred on regional ingredients; confirm inclusions when booking.

Bars, lounges and entertainment

Viking Honir's social spaces are generous and varied, and almost all are included in your fare.

The Living Room sits at the heart of the ship, with comfortable seating, live classical music from the Viking Resident Musicians and a calm atmosphere for connecting with fellow guests. Adjacent to it is the Bar — the Clinker Bar — designed to evoke the lines of an ancient Norse longship, a distinctive setting for an evening drink.

Torshavn® channels the atmosphere of a Hollywood jazz lounge, with live music and cocktails most evenings. The Explorers' Lounge takes its inspiration from great voyages of discovery and features two-storey panoramic windows framing the river and shore. The Atrium completes the picture as a central social hub, open to all at no charge.

The Theater seats up to 450 guests for lectures, films and TED Talks, and can be divided into two HD cinemas depending on the programme — all included in your fare.

Pools, spa and sports

Viking Honir carries two pool options and a full wellness offer, all open to every guest.

The Main Pool with Retractable Roof is heated and useable year-round, with a large screen for evening films under the sky when the roof opens. The Infinity Pool, one of the first of its kind at sea, has floor-to-ceiling windows, a hot tub and a teak surround, giving the sensation of bathing at the heart of your destination; the adjoining Aquavit Terrace is on hand for evening dining (food and beverages charged separately).

The Nordic Spa is complimentary to enter and includes a sauna and snow grotto, with individual treatments available for an additional charge. The Fitness Center provides treadmills, elliptical machines and exercise bikes alongside open space for yoga and pilates, with equipment use included. The Hair Salon offers cuts, styling and the Royal Nordic Hair Ritual, charged separately. On deck, the Sports Deck has a running track, boccie, mini golf and shuffleboard, all free to use.

• Explorer Suite (ES) — 41.3 m²: The largest accommodation aboard, with a wraparound veranda giving 270-degree river views. Ideal for guests who want maximum outdoor space and the best vantage point for scenery and photography.
• Veranda Stateroom A — 19.0 m²: A private veranda overlooking the river, offering more outdoor space than the standard stateroom — well suited to guests who like morning coffee or evening relaxation on the water.
• French Balcony Stateroom C — 12.5 m²: A French balcony that lets in fresh river air and natural light, providing outdoor access at excellent value.
