About Ilma

CruiseAway offers sailings aboard Ilma, one of The Ritz-Carlton Yacht Collection's intimate luxury yachts, with our Best Price Guarantee and cruise experts who know these fares inside out. Voyages depart from San Juan, Miami, Athens, Rome, Venice, Monte Carlo and more, covering the Caribbean, Eastern and Western Mediterranean, and Transatlantic routes. Every sailing requires a flight to port — our DreamAway Packages bundle your flights, hotel nights either side and transfers into one booking, so the cruise is the middle of a longer trip rather than a separate puzzle to solve.

Ilma at a glance

Ilma sails for The Ritz-Carlton Yacht Collection, offering an experience that sits between a private superyacht and a full-service luxury ship. Her itineraries currently on sale depart from late September 2026 and run to voyages of up to 16 nights, spanning the Caribbean, Eastern Mediterranean, Western Mediterranean, Eastern Caribbean, Transatlantic routes, and Southern Caribbean.

  • Cruise line: The Ritz-Carlton Yacht Collection
  • Regions sailed: Caribbean, Eastern & Western Mediterranean, Transatlantic
  • Home ports: San Juan, Miami, Athens (Piraeus), Rome (Civitavecchia), Venice, Monte Carlo, Barcelona, Málaga, Lisbon
  • Owner's Suite: 72 m² with private whirlpool and expansive terrace
  • Sailings available: 79 itineraries from A$2,900pp*

Because every sailing departs from overseas, flying is part of the plan — which is exactly where CruiseAway's DreamAway Packages come in, combining flights, hotel stays and transfers into a single holiday booking.

Dining on Ilma

Ilma carries a dining programme broad enough to fill every mood across a 16-night voyage, from complimentary itinerary-inspired menus to Michelin-starred specialty restaurants.

Tides is the main included restaurant, where seasonal menus shift with the destinations on your itinerary — locally inspired, intimate in feel despite a generous room. Within it, Dining Privée offers a private dining room for special occasions, with bespoke menus and personalised service (reservations and per-person pricing required).

For specialty dining, Seta Su Ilma brings contemporary Italian cuisine by Michelin-starred chef Fabio Trabocchi — pristine seafood, prime meats and handmade pasta — with à la carte pricing and a cover charge. Memorī serves contemporary Japanese cooking anchored by an open sushi bar, with sashimi, tempura and charcoal-grilled Wagyu available al fresco or indoors (à la carte pricing applies). Beach House, conceived by Michelin-starred chef Michael Minas, turns to Pan-Latin American flavours — fire-kissed dishes and shared plates with craft beers and a premium tequila selection (à la carte, not included in the onboard card). Mistral & Mistral Bar rounds out the specialty options with Mediterranean-inspired cuisine, fresh fish, handmade pasta and grilled meats indoors or under the open sky — and this restaurant is included in your cruise fare.

The Pool House offers relaxed, freshly prepared dishes throughout the day with no dress code, right by the water. The Living Room Café and Bar is the ship's all-day gathering place for coffee and pastries in the morning and drinks in the evening — food and drinks are charged separately unless covered by a beverage package. In-suite dining is also available, bringing dishes from the ship's culinary worlds to your cabin or private terrace at any hour (charges and eligibility apply — confirm before you travel).

Bars, lounges and social spaces

The Living Room is Ilma's central social hub — a vibrant blue lounge with a curated travel library that transforms each evening into a piano bar with live music (drinks charged separately). Perched at the top of the ship, The Observation Terrace delivers unobstructed panoramic ocean and coastline views, shifting from a quiet spot for early risers to a lively evening venue with live entertainment. The Humidor offers a quieter retreat — fine cognacs and handrolled cigars from an extensive selection (drinks and cigars charged separately). At select anchorages, the Marina and Marina Terrace opens to the sea, creating a private beach experience with water toys, sun loungers and handcrafted cocktails (food and drinks at the Terrace charged separately).

Spa, wellness and fitness

The Ritz-Carlton Spa® features private treatment rooms with sea views, using premium ESPA products and drawing inspiration from the ports on your itinerary. Entry is complimentary; individual therapies are charged separately. The adjoining barber and salon services cover manicures, hair styling and men's facial treatments (all chargeable). The Fitness Studio is equipped with modern Technogym machines — bikes, rowers, ellipticals and weights — and access is complimentary. Paid options include personal training, sunrise yoga, mat pilates, nutrition counselling and wellness talks.

The pool and Marina

The Pool area features sunbeds, whirlpools and misting sprays, and doubles as a lively deck party venue. Access is complimentary; food and drinks cost extra. When the ship anchors at select ports, the Marina lowers to the waterline, giving guests direct access to the sea and water toys — a private-beach feeling that few ships can replicate.

Families and younger guests

Ritz Kids® is a dedicated onboard programme blending playful learning with fun, included in your cruise fare. Activity intensity increases during school holidays and summer months, giving young travellers more to do depending on when you sail.

Cabins on Ilma

The Owner's Suite spans 72 m² and sleeps up to four guests, featuring a private whirlpool and an expansive terrace — described as the most luxurious private outdoor living space aboard. For a full breakdown of all grades, sizes and deck positions, see Ilma's cabins and deck plans.

Where Ilma sails

The majority of sailings on sale depart from San Juan, Puerto Rico, with a large share of Caribbean itineraries — browse Caribbean cruises in 2026 and Caribbean cruises in 2027 for the full range. Mediterranean seasons sail from Rome (Civitavecchia), Venice, Barcelona, Monte Carlo and Málaga; explore Mediterranean cruises in 2026 or Mediterranean cruises in 2027. Greek Island cruises from Athens cover Eastern Mediterranean routes departing Athens (Piraeus). Transatlantic sailings, including one from Lisbon, connect the two regions. The Caribbean destination page and Transatlantic destination page list every sailing we offer in those regions year-round.

Why book Ilma with CruiseAway

CruiseAway's Best Price Guarantee applies across all Ilma sailings, and our cruise experts know The Ritz-Carlton Yacht Collection's fare structures and cabin grades in detail — the difference between a Terrace Suite and an Owner's Suite matters on a yacht this size, and we help you choose the right one for your circumstances. Because every Ilma departure requires flying to port — whether that's San Juan, Miami, Athens, Rome or Venice — our DreamAway Packages handle flights, hotels and transfers as part of a single holiday booking, rather than leaving you to coordinate each element separately.

Alternatives to Ilma

If you're weighing up your options, the following ships sail many of the same ports and regions and are worth considering alongside Ilma.

Silver Shadow (Silversea) sails from the same ports as Ilma and visits a high proportion of the same countries, including France, Puerto Rico, Italy and the British Virgin Islands. It is a straight alternative with no additional flying required.

Queen Elizabeth (Cunard) also sails from the same ports and shares a significant number of destinations with Ilma — France, Puerto Rico, Italy and the British Virgin Islands among them. No extra flight is required. If you'd like to browse Queen Elizabeth's sailings directly, see Queen Elizabeth cruises in 2026 or Queen Elizabeth cruises in 2027.

Celebrity Equinox (Celebrity Cruises) departs from the same ports and calls at destinations including France, Italy, Greece and the United States. It is another option requiring no additional flight to port.

Ilma's fleet companion, Evrima, is another ship in The Ritz-Carlton Yacht Collection you may be choosing between.

Common questions about Ilma

Do all Ilma sailings require a flight from Australia?

Yes — every Ilma itinerary currently on sale departs from an overseas port, most commonly San Juan (Puerto Rico), Miami, Athens (Piraeus), Rome (Civitavecchia) or Venice. CruiseAway's DreamAway Packages can combine your international flights, hotel nights and transfers with the cruise into one booking, so the cruise sits in the middle of a complete holiday rather than as a standalone element.

Which cabin type gives the most outdoor space on Ilma?

The Owner's Suite offers the most private outdoor space aboard — a 72 m² suite sleeping up to four, with a private whirlpool and what the ship describes as the most expansive private terrace on board. For the full range of cabin grades and deck positions, the Ilma cabins and deck plans page has the detail you need before booking.

Which restaurants are included in the fare on Ilma?

Tides (the main dining room), Mistral & Mistral Bar, The Pool House and Ritz Kids® are included in your cruise fare. Several other venues — including Seta Su Ilma, Memorī, Beach House and the S.E.A. tasting menu — carry à la carte charges or specialty dining fees. The Living Room Café and Bar charges separately for drinks and food unless covered by a beverage package.

Can children sail on Ilma?

Yes. The Ritz Kids® programme is included in the fare and is designed for younger guests, with a dedicated onboard area and a schedule that expands during school holidays and summer months. If you're travelling with children, sailings during peak holiday periods will offer the most programming.

What is the best region to choose for a first Ilma sailing?

That depends on the season and what you want to see. The Caribbean itineraries — predominantly departing from San Juan — are most numerous and suit those drawn to island-hopping in the Eastern and Southern Caribbean. Mediterranean sailings depart from Athens, Rome, Venice, Monte Carlo and Barcelona and are well suited to anyone wanting a mix of historic ports and coastal scenery. Browse Mediterranean Sea cruises or the Caribbean destination page to compare itineraries side by side.
