Since 1437, Edinburgh has been the capital of Scotland. The hilly city features an Old Town with medieval structures as well as a beautiful Georgian New Town with neoclassical architecture. While the Scottish monarchy resides in the Palace of Holyroodhouse, the crown jewels can be found in Edinburgh Castle, towering over the city. Holyhead is a small port town located in the British county of the Isle of Anglesey on the Welsh coast. The town is, historically, one of the major Irish Sea ports and has, until very recently, enjoyed a great flow of people coming from and going to Ireland. However, with the introduction of cheap flights, Holyhead's popularity has decreased. The city centre and the recently built Celtic Gateway Bridge leading to it from the train station and ferry terminal are both very much worth a visit.

On the south coast of England lies the port city of Portsmouth. In Portsmouth, there are numerous museums, visit one to learn about D-Day, U-boats and much more.

Zeebrugge is located in the Flanders region of Belgium. The small town has nearly 3865 inhabitants and is situated in close proximity to Bruges. Brugge is characterized especially by its medieval old town, ramparts and windmills. Since Brugge was not affected by war or large-scale fires, the city is very well preserved. It is explorable on foot and by boat. Local attractions include the Church of Our Lady of the Madonna by Michelangelo and the four remaining city gates (Gentpoort, Kruispoort, and Smedenpoor Ezelpoort).
