Cabins on Hero of the Seas

Hero of the Seas offers cabin grades spanning inside rooms to multi-storey suite experiences, with several categories designed specifically for families.

  • Family Inside cabin with Surfside view (T5) — 17 m², sleeping up to 4. A window overlooks the Surfside activity area, replacing the blank corridor wall of a standard inside cabin with a view of on-board life.
  • Panorama Ocean-view cabin (L5) — 24 m², sleeping up to 3. Floor-to-ceiling glass delivers a 180-degree sea view and significantly more natural light than a standard ocean-view room.
  • Family Balcony cabin with sea view (FB) — 60 m², sleeping up to 6. Spread across two levels with separate living and sleeping areas, this suite-category cabin offers more than three times the space of a standard balcony cabin.
  • Ultimate Family Treehouse (TH) — 221 m², sleeping up to 12. A three-storey experience complete with slide, wet bar and table tennis — the most distinctive cabin on the ship and a holiday in itself for adventurous families.

Dining on Hero of the Seas

Coastal Kitchen is the dedicated restaurant for Royal Suite Class guests, serving Mediterranean-Californian cuisine in an intimate, reservation-only setting. Access is exclusive to Royal Suite Class guests, and reservations are tiered by suite category to preserve the atmosphere. It is included in the cost of an eligible suite.

Bars and lounges

Suite Lounge is a private retreat reserved for Sky and Star Class suite guests. A daily cocktail hour offers complimentary drinks; at all other times drinks are available à la carte. Sea views make it a calm alternative to the busier social spaces elsewhere on the ship.

Royal Suite Class enclave

Royal Suite Class brings together the ship's premium suite-only spaces under one membership. Guests in an eligible suite have access to The Grove Suite Sun Deck, Coastal Kitchen and the Suite Lounge — a private tier of the ship that operates alongside, but entirely separately from, the main guest areas.

Where Hero of the Seas sails

All current sailings depart from Miami and explore the Caribbean. Every itinerary on sale runs from late September 2026, with trips of up to 12 nights. Because Miami is a United States departure port, Australian travellers will need to fly to join the ship — something CruiseAway handles as part of a DreamAway Package, covering flights, hotels either side and transfers as a single booking.

Why book Hero of the Seas with CruiseAway

CruiseAway's cruise experts know Royal Caribbean's cabin grades and fare structures in detail, which matters on a ship where the difference between a 17 m² family inside cabin and a 221 m² treehouse suite is enormous — and so is the difference in what each fare type includes. Our Best Price Guarantee means you don't need to shop around once you've found the right sailing.

Because every Hero of the Seas departure sails from the United States, the cruise is the centrepiece of a longer trip. CruiseAway's DreamAway Packages bundle the international flights, any pre- or post-cruise hotel nights in Miami and all transfers into one holiday, booked and managed in one place.

You can explore the full Royal Caribbean fleet and current offers on the Royal Caribbean Cruises page, or go directly to Royal Caribbean cruise deals to see discounted sailings available right now.

Other Royal Caribbean ships to consider

If you're weighing up which Royal Caribbean ship suits your itinerary or travel style, CruiseAway lists several other ships in the fleet: Icon of the Seas, Allure of the Seas, Anthem of the Seas, Ovation of the Seas, Brilliance of the Seas and Legend of the Seas all have their own pages where you can review what each ship offers and what's on sale.

Common questions about Hero of the Seas

What is the cheapest cabin available on Hero of the Seas right now?

Sailings on Hero of the Seas currently start from A$1,768pp*. That entry price reflects the most affordable cabin grade on the shortest available itinerary; suites and longer sailings are priced above that. Use the CruiseAway search to filter by cabin type and trip length to find the fare that fits your budget.

Do I need to fly to join Hero of the Seas?

Yes — all current sailings depart from Miami, Florida, in the United States, so Australian travellers will need to fly to the port. CruiseAway can arrange this as part of a DreamAway Package, including international flights, hotel accommodation in Miami before or after the cruise, and transfers, all on a single booking.

Which cabin is right for a large family group?

The Ultimate Family Treehouse (TH) sleeps up to 12 across 221 m² over three storeys, with a slide, wet bar and table tennis on board. For groups that don't need quite that much space, the Family Balcony cabin with sea view (FB) sleeps up to 6 across 60 m² with separate living and sleeping areas. Both are bookable through CruiseAway; our cruise experts can walk you through the differences and what each fare includes.

What does Royal Suite Class include on Hero of the Seas?

Royal Suite Class guests gain access to three exclusive areas: The Grove Suite Sun Deck, the Coastal Kitchen restaurant (Mediterranean-Californian cuisine, included in the suite), and the Suite Lounge (complimentary drinks during the daily cocktail hour, à la carte at other times). Access to each space depends on your specific suite category.

How long are the itineraries on Hero of the Seas?

Current sailings run up to 12 nights, all in the Caribbean departing from Miami. The full range of available trip lengths is visible on the 2026 and 2027 Caribbean cruise search pages, where you can filter by duration and departure date.
