EXPLORA III at a glance

EXPLORA III is Explora Journeys' third ship, designed around the concept of ocean living — an unhurried, resort-at-sea experience that blends the space of a luxury hotel with the freedom of a private yacht. Sailings depart from late September 2026, with itineraries stretching across the Caribbean, Alaska & West Canada, Japan, South East Asia, Transpacific, Central America and the USA West Coast.

  • Cruise line: Explora Journeys
  • Itineraries available: up to 26 nights
  • Key departure ports: Miami, Vancouver, San Juan, Tokyo, Singapore, Shanghai, Hong Kong, Seward, Bridgetown, Panama City
  • Signature suite: Owner's Residence — 183 m² interior plus 132 m² private terrace, sleeping up to four

Dining on EXPLORA III

EXPLORA III carries a broad dining programme, with several restaurants included in your cruise fare alongside a handful of speciality venues that carry a cover charge.

Included dining begins at Fil Rouge, the ship's all-day restaurant serving French-influenced international cuisine from breakfast through dinner, and Med Yacht Club, an informal Mediterranean restaurant with sea views and a yacht-club feel. Emporium Marketplace is a market-style space with live cooking stations offering global dishes throughout the day, while Shore Club delivers coastal-inspired dishes and light bites in a laid-back poolside setting — ideal for unhurried lunches in the sun.

For something more exclusive, Anthology is a speciality fine-dining restaurant where rotating guest chefs bring evolving culinary concepts each voyage — a cover charge applies. Marble & Co. Grill is a contemporary steakhouse where you can watch chefs work over an open kitchen as they prepare premium cuts, also at an additional charge. Sakura brings pan-Asian cuisine — Japanese, Chinese, Thai and Korean — to one address, with à la carte pricing and advance reservations recommended. Chef Table seats a single party for a fully personalised, à la carte meal crafted around your preferences, with a cover charge for this intimate experience.

Suite guests can also draw on In Suite Dining around the clock — a full room-service menu available on your terrace or inside your suite at any hour.

Bars and lounges

EXPLORA III's bar programme is as considered as its dining. The Journeys Lounge is the ship's largest social space, hosting mixology sessions, enrichment talks and cabaret entertainment across the day and evening. The Astern Lounge is the ship's social heart for daily gatherings, from quiet afternoons to lively evenings. Explora Lounge is a naturally lit retreat for light meals, afternoon tea and ocean watching, and it is home to the Malt Whiskey Bar — a curated selection of global and rare whiskies, a walk-in humidor and an outdoor terrace. The Cellar sits nearby as a relaxed wine bar exploring Old World classics, New World favourites and select rarities.

On deck, the Astern Pool Bar sits beside the infinity pool, with acoustic performers and DJs arriving as evening falls. The Atoll Pool Bar keeps the sun-deck day flowing, while the Helios Pool Bar is an adults-only forward-facing retreat on Deck 12. Sky Bar On 14, perched on Deck 14, offers open-air panoramic vistas — a natural spot for a sundowner cocktail. The Conservatory Pool Bar doubles as an open-air cinema under the stars after dark, and the Gelateria Crêperie at the Conservatory adds authentic gelato and crêpes to the poolside mix, charged à la carte. The Lobby Bar and Crema Cafe round out the offering at the ship's social centre.

Note that at bars where beverages are charged separately, a beverage package may cover many of those costs — your CruiseAway cruise expert can advise when you book.

Cabins and suites on EXPLORA III

Every accommodation on EXPLORA III is a suite with a private terrace — no inside cabins, no ocean-view-only grades. The flagship accommodation is the Owner's Residence (OR1), a two-bedroom residence with 183 m² of interior living space and a 132 m² outdoor terrace, sleeping up to four guests. It is the largest unit on board. For full details of all cabin grades and deck layouts, see the EXPLORA III cabins and deck plans page.

Where EXPLORA III sails

EXPLORA III covers an ambitious global range from late 2026 onwards. The Caribbean accounts for the largest share of sailings, departing from Miami and San Juan, Puerto Rico. In the Pacific Northwest, the ship departs Vancouver for Alaska in 2027 and Alaska in 2026 — no flight required from Vancouver. Japan sailings depart Tokyo, with options across 2026 and 2027. South East Asia itineraries board in Singapore, making EXPLORA III a strong option for Australian travellers who can position to Singapore for the start of a voyage. Transpacific crossings, Central America routes and USA West Coast sailings complete the programme, with additional departures from Shanghai, Hong Kong, Seward, Alaska, Bridgetown, Barbados and Panama City.

Fares start from A$5,600pp*. Because every departure on EXPLORA III requires flying to the port — whether Miami, Vancouver, Tokyo or Singapore — we build the whole trip as one: the cruise, your flights, hotel nights either side and transfers, all on a single DreamAway Package booking.

Why book EXPLORA III with CruiseAway

CruiseAway's Best Price Guarantee means you won't find the same sailing cheaper elsewhere through us. Our cruise experts know the Explora Journeys fleet and its fare structures in detail — they'll help you choose between suite grades, beverage packages and sailing lengths so the booking fits your trip rather than the other way around. And because every EXPLORA III sailing departs overseas, our DreamAway Packages pull the flights, pre- or post-cruise hotel and transfers into one booking, so there's nothing left to arrange separately.
