ORACLES & OLYMPIC LEGENDS TOUR
Day 1: 30 August 2027 – Athens to Nafplio
Breakfast at the hotel
Our driver will pick you up from your hotel in the morning and drive along the mainland coast to Peloponnese. Later, we will make our first stop at the Canal of Corinth (6 km long and 80 m high) for a photo stop from the viewpoint. We continue to reach Ancient Corinth, one of the beloved cities of Saint Paul. We will have the chance to visit the Ancient Market and the Bema of Apostle Paul (Galionas), a large, elevated rostrum standing prominently in the centre of the Roman Forum of Ancient Corinth. Then we will arrive at Diakofto to take the Cog Railway (Odontotos), which links Kalavrita with Diakofto through the Vouraikos Canyon, one of the most beautiful natural sights and most spectacular railway rides in Greece. The little train travels through streams, tunnels, waterfalls, cliffs, and forests of pine and oleander, ending at the town of Kalavryta. Our driver will meet you there to continue the tour at the mysterious, magnificent, and unique Cave of the Lakes, a rare creation of nature consisting of 13 small and large lakes with different colours. You will admire the hanging bridge, waterfalls, and impressive stalactite formations. We have a stop for lunch at the picturesque village of Kalavrita.

Day 2: 31 August 2027 – Nafplio to Olympia
Breakfast at the hotel.
After your breakfast, you will have time to visit either Palamidi Castle, which you can reach by climbing 999 steps, or take a small boat to visit Bourtzi, the fortress at the entrance of the harbor. Then we leave for Epidaurus to visit the Ancient Theatre of Epidaurus, famous for its breathtaking acoustics and still functioning today.
Next, we visit the famous ancient town of Mycenae and its archaeological site, including the Lion Gate, the Cyclopean Walls, the Royal Palace, and the Tomb of Agamemnon. Finally, we reach Ancient Olympia.

Day 3: 01 September 2027 – Olympia to Delphi
Breakfast at the hotel.
In the morning, we will visit the archaeological site of Ancient Olympia, where the first Olympic Games took place in 776 B.C. The Temple of Zeus is located there, once hosting one of the Seven Wonders of the Ancient World. You will also visit the Temple of Hera, the Shrine of Pelops, the Council House, the Treasury Houses, the Gymnasium, the Palestra, and the Stadium with its original marble starting blocks. Leaving Ancient Olympia, we cross the Rion–Antirion Bridge, one of the largest bridges in Europe. For wine lovers, a tasting tour in a winery is suggested (not included).
We then head to Naupactus, a beautiful seaside town where you can visit the Venetian Castle and Venetian Port. After lunch, we continue to Delphi.

Day 4: 02 September 2027 – Delphi to Meteora
Breakfast at the hotel.
After breakfast, our driver will take you to the Ancient Oracle, the Stadium, the Ancient Theatre with a capacity of over 5,000 spectators, and the Museum of Delphi. Delphi is best known for the oracle dedicated to Apollo during the classical period. Afterwards, we visit the traditional winter village of Arachova for a coffee or lunch break. Departing Arachova, we drive through Central Greece to Kalambaka, a small traditional town built at the foot of the majestic Meteora rocks.

Day 5: 03 September 2027 – Meteora to Athens
Breakfast at the hotel.
Visit Meteora and enjoy the unique and imposing scenery of ageless monasteries standing between earth and sky atop huge rocks. We visit the Monastery of Varlaam, founded in the 16th century and located on top of a rock at 380m height. Our second visit is to the Monastery of St. Stephan, built in the 15th century, where you will admire a small collection of Byzantine and Christian treasures in the museum. Return to Athens passing through Domokos, Kamena Vourla by the seaside, and Thermopiles, where the statue of Leonidas commemorates the battle of the 300 Spartans. Our driver will drop you off at the Hotel in the late afternoon.
