These days its better known for its port, which is the center of the British Navy. Since 1997, the district has been one of the Cultural Heritages of UNESCO. Dover is a historical port town in Kent, South East England. The town is located at the narrowest part of the English channel, looking over the strait of Dover towards France. Holyhead is a small port town located in the British county of the Isle of Anglesey on the Welsh coast.
