Life On Board
Get on board the Viking Star and enjoy an intimate cruise holiday, sailing to some of the most exotic and exciting destinations. Being a small ship, Viking Star can take you to ports less discovered. Embark in Reykjavik, Iceland and explore the glaciers, volcanoes and the dramatic landscapes of the country, peruse down to the British Isles and the Mediterranean or sail across the Atlantic to New York. The ship’s itineraries also include Hawaii, California, British Columbia, Canada and the fascinating Panama Canal. The cruise length varies from 8 to 36 nights.

Food & Drink
Explore the cultures you are visiting through destination-focused dining. The Restaurant, the ship’s main dining area, features ever-changing menus of local dishes, also made out of locally-sourced ingredients. The Kitchen Table provides an opportunity to immerse yourself in local flavours and learn how to cook the dishes. For fantastic al fresco dining, check out the Aquavit Terrace – the biggest outside dining area at sea, it is part of the World Café serving delicious seafood dishes and other international favourites. Make sure you visit Mamsen’s – the Norwegian restaurant offering national specialities for breakfast and lunch. Dinner at the Chef’s Table will be the highlight of your cruise, experience a beautiful tasting of mouthwatering dishes that are perfectly paired with wine.
Entertainment
Viking is all about the destinations you visit, and so is the onboard entertainment. Enjoy fascinating local history lectures given by the ship’s resident historians, and make sure you sign up for the Port Talks telling you all about the city you are about to disembark at. Your cabin TV will show you short films on the hidden gems and traditions of the destination, and the onboard Library is well-stocked with themed books, all hand selected by Heywood Hill. Watch performances and listen to world-class guest lecturers to understand the cultures even better. The cruise line has paired up with TED to bring you the famous talks, you can watch them during onboard screenings or on your cabin TV.
Health & Fitness
Experience the Nordic wellness at the onboard Spa that offers traditional treatments as well as innovative massages, facials, body wraps and more. Relax in the sauna or check out the Snow Grotto for ultimate refreshment. Get your energy levels up at the well-equipped Fitness Centre, or go up to the Sports Deck and take part in yoga lessons with spectacular views. The Sports Deck also features a walking track, a golf putting green and a shuffleboard. The main pool boasts a retractable roof, meaning you can go for a relaxing swim no matter the weather.
