Ship Information

MS Nordkapp has been sailing the traditional route between Bergen and Kirkenes since 1996. Its name comes from a steep plateau that jutts sharply out of the Arctic Ocean. Guests aboard this ship always enjoy its welcoming atmosphere. Here one may choose between comfortably furnished inner or outer cabins.

Dining Information

Rich buffets of Scandinavian specialties will delight you for breakfast and lunch, while an elaborate 3-course dinner will be served each evening in the Nessekongen Restaurant. Vegetarian meals are gladly provided upon request. You are always welcome in the MS Nordkapp's various bars and cafés throughout the day, particularly in the Panorama Salon. There you can enjoy paintings by the Norwegian artist, Karl Erik Harr, or take advantage of the maginficent view.

The Nordkapp has many forms of entertainment available to you, including a game room, Internet Café and library.

The best view of the incredible Norwegian landscape can be found on the sun deck, where all are invited to relax and enjoy the surroundings. Two lounges are also located on this deck for your entertainment. Two Whirlpools are located one deck below. Other amenities available to you on the Nordkapp include a café, bar and two conference rooms, as well as a reception area with lobby and a car deck. A fitness studio and sauna are also available to help you relax.

Dress Code

Relaxation and the enjoyment of nature have always been priorities with Hurtigruten. We therefore believe your time on board should be spent at your leisure. As the weather can be unpredictable at times, we advise all passengers to bring waterproof clothing. Gloves, scarves, hats, and warm layers of underclothing should not be forgotten, especially during winter months. Sturdy footwear and hiking sticks are recommended for land excursions. Among the most important items to bring are sunglasses, as ultraviolet rays reflected by ice and snow can be dangerous for the eyes.
