Dining Info

The aft-located Restaurant has large floor-ceiling windows, a buffet station and a self-service station for coffee/tea/juice. It offers buffet-style breakfast and lunch. Dinner is 2-seating and waiter served with a 3-course menu, featuring Scandinavian food specialties. Wine by the bottle is also offered at extra cost.

Entertainment & Activities

MS Spitsbergen has a modern gym, a sauna and two Jacuzzi whirlpools. The Main Lounge hosts daily multimedia presentations and professional lectures by expert scientists and wildlife experts. The Observation Lounge has slanted windows which provide 270° scenery views and is served by its own full bar. There is also an Internet Cafe corner, a Video Games Arcade, a small shop and a Kids Playroom offering babysitting services

Dress Code

As the weather can be unpredictable at times, we advise all passengers to bring waterproof clothing. Gloves, scarves, hats, and warm layers of underclothing should not be forgotten, especially during winter months. Sturdy footwear and hiking sticks are recommended for land excursions. Among the most important items to bring are sunglasses, as ultraviolet rays reflected by ice and snow can be dangerous for the eyes.
