Ship Information

MS Midnatsol translates into 'Midnight Sun' and represents the beautiful Norwegian summer. This ship has been sailing in the Hurtigruten fleet since 2003. Its friendly and colorful design never fail to create a welcoming atmosphere. MS Midnatsol has a multitude of cabins and the greatest selection of suites in the Hurtigruten fleet, some of which include impressive bay windows.

Dining Information

Each morning you will find an elaborate breakfast buffet at your fingertips. For lunch you are welcome to feast on an original buffet of Scandinavian specialties, and a delactable 3-course meal will be served for dinner each evening. Vegetarian options are served upon request. You also have your choice of many bars and cafés in which to comfortably pass the time, as well as the Midnatsol's characteristic Panorama Salon with its one-of-a-kind view and its wide selection of drinks and snacks.

No matter whether you're looking to play cards, surf the internet, or quietly read a book: game rooms, an Internet Café and a library make it all possible.

Looking to relax? An onboard sauna and two Whirlpools are at your service. Those looking for something new after soaking up the sun on the terrasse deck would be more than welcome to have a look around the boutique. Fitness machines are also available for the actively-inclined.

Dress Code

Relaxation and the enjoyment of nature have always been priorities with Hurtigruten. We therefore believe your time on board should be spent at your leisure. As the weather can be unpredictable at times, we advise all passengers to bring waterproof clothing. Gloves, scarves, hats, and warm layers of underclothing should not be forgotten, especially during winter months. Sturdy footwear and hiking sticks are recommended for land excursions. Among the most important items to bring are sunglasses, as ultraviolet rays reflected by ice and snow can be dangerous for the eyes.
