MSC’s Ships

MSC Cruises has twelve ships across three classes. The differentiation in classes is in the size of the ships. If you prefer a more intimate experience, the smallest class of ships is the Lirica Class. Ships in this class have no more than 2000 passengers. The Musica Class can cater for up to 3000, while the Fantasia Class has the largest vessels with upwards of 4500 travellers. MSC’s flagship is the MSC Preziosa . This is one of the largest and newest ships and also the most innovative, with a wealth of entertainment facilities, an impressive Aurea spa area, and stunning architectural design.

Amenities On-board

If you are travelling with the kids, you can do no better than MSC Cruises. Entertainment is available for children of all ages from nine in the morning until ten at night. Teenagers can keep themselves amused with the Teen’s Club and the Teen’s Disco. Special Teen Cards also give the youngsters the freedom to make small purchases around the ship – within the parents’ limits! Other entertainment facilities for the younger ones include aqua parks, mini bowling, Nintendo Wii consoles, 4D cinemas, and a Formula 1 simulator.

There are of course plenty of activities for the adults aboard MSC Cruises. Sport lovers have lots of choice- there is an abundance of facilities, tournaments, and fitness and dance classes. The fun lovers will relish the party atmosphere on board- from poolside parties to nightclubs and an extensive list of shows. There are also cookery SuperChef competitions, judged over by the chef of one of the speciality restaurants.

Accommodation

MSC has a wide range of cabins to suit all budgets and requirements. Many cabins can be arranged as double or single cabins on request. Even the cheapest rooms come equipped with TVs with English TV channels, hairdryers, spacious wardrobes and bathroom products. All ships offer inside cabins, ocean view cabins, balcony cabins, and a range of suites. Every ship also offers adjoining rooms for families or cabins with the possibility of adding in an extra bed. There are also different categories of cabins for passengers with disabilities or reduced mobility. In general, the largest ships of the Fantasia Class come with the largest bedrooms. The deluxe suites are luxuriously decorated and include separate living areas and large bathrooms complete with baths.
