Bridgetown
Barbados is an ideal Caribbean destination, whether you want to bake in the sun or spend your time discovering island life and culture.

The beaches along the West and South coasts are lovely. Because they're open to the public, though, they lack the privacy some visitors may seek. Elsewhere on the island, linked by almost 900 miles of good roads, are small villages, historic plantation houses, stalactite-studded caves, a wildlife preserve, and the Andromeda Gardens, one of the most attractive small tropical gardens in the world. Culturally, Barbados has retained a very British atmosphere: Afternoon tea is a ritual, cricket is the national passion, and a few luxury hotels request a jacket and tie at dinner.

But Barbados is true blue Caribbean as well, with classic sand beaches, and wild monkeys in the jungle.

Manaus
Carved out of densest jungle, Manaus lies on the Negro River near its confluence with the Amazon. It is one of Brazil's largest cities and the financial centre of north Brazil. It is also an important hub for ecotourism. This city's history is based on the rubber harvests of years past, and today it thrives as a cruise port by offering numerous historical and ecological tourist attractions.

Rubber made Manaus the richest city in South America during the late 1800s and helped it earn its nickname, the "Paris of the Tropics". Many wealthy European families settled in Manaus and brought their love of sophisticated European art, architecture, and culture with them.

Iquitos
Iquitos is the largest city in the Peruvian rainforest. It is the capital of Loreto Region and Maynas Province. Located on the Amazon River, it has long been a major port in the Amazon Basin. It is surrounded by three rivers: the Nanay, the Itaya and the Amazon.

The Main Square is the city's social and economic hub. It is very near the riverside called Tarapaca, its commercial center in the Prospero Street, and the traditional neighborhood of Belen with its floating houses on the river. Municipal Museum located in the Tavara Street block 2, is a small and modest museum with handmade native artworks.

Iquitos is an ideal place for lovers of the eco-tourism. From the city you can go to jungle lodges, parks and natural reservations, full of exotic flora and fauna.
