Wolin Island is located off the coast of Pomerania, in the Baltic Sea, Poland. It is generally a lowland, with forests and several lakes.It is separated from the island of Usedom by the Świna river, and from mainland Pomerania by the Dziwna river.
The island is a main tourist attraction of northwestern Poland. The principal town, Wolin, is a fishing port and there are numerous bathing resorts. Located in the middle is the Wolin National Park. There are also a number of heritage sites and attractive seaside villages to visit.

By car, use national road no. 3 to get to Miedzyzdroje from Szczecin or from the cities of south-western Poland. If you are coming from Sweden or Denmark, you can catch a ferry or other boat to Swinoujscie.
