The island of Hiddensee is a carfree island in the Baltic Sea, located west of Rügen on the German coast.
The island is a popular vacation destination for East Germany and continues to attract tourists today with its natural beauty.

The Isle of Hiddensee is not only a wildfowl paradise but alsoboasts some of the finest sandy beaches in Mecklenburg-Vorpommern. It is only 18km long with a charming and unique landscape and a surprisingly varied flora and fauna. It has an impressive coastline with woodland, heath, moors and salt marshes.
