Aqua Expeditions is a Peru luxury tour operator and the first adventure travel company to introduce five-star luxury cruises on the Amazon River in Peru.
The launch of Aqua Expeditions in 2007, fulfills the dream of founder and CEO Francesco Galli Zugaro. Galli Zugaro, who previously worked with a boutique cruise tour operator in the Galapagos Islands, has long dreamed of taking guests to one of the world's most beautiful and remote regions - the Amazon River in Peru.
This Lima, Peru-based tour operator operates its first custom built luxury cruise ship, the M/V Aqua year round taking travelers on a luxurious journey to the sources of the Amazon, the remote Pacaya Samiria Reserve, and beyond with outstanding wildlife viewing and shore excursions into the Amazon rainforest and jungle.

Fine dining, deep in the Amazon jungle, may sound like unlikely-yet you will find it aboard the M/V Aqua.
We offer a world class dining experience about the M/V Aqua with specially selected unique Peru recipes and cuisine. Noted Chef Pedro Miguel Schiaffino, one of Peru's top ten chefs, has created our exclusive menus. Guests aboard the M/V Aqua will enjoy a menu of fresh, delicious Peruvian cuisine (with a bit of continental influence), whether served on board in our elegant dining room or out and about on a luxury cruise excursion in the Amazon jungle. Dinner each evening promises to be a Peruvian culinary feast for the senses, paired with premium South American wines.
Special Requests
M/V Aqua will make every attempt to accommodate special requests, and to deal with dietary requirements. Because the M/V Aqua sails in such a remote area, all requests must be made at least 30 days in advance.
The quality of service should determine the amount of any tipping. Aqua recommend an amount in the range of US $20 - $30 per passenger per day for the crew (to be divided among all the crew members) and between US $7 - $10 per passenger per day for the guides.
The total suggested tip for M/V Aqua staff on your trip would therefore be somewhere between US $81.00 - US $120.00 per passenger in total for those on a 3 night trip or US $108.00 - US $ 160.00 per passenger those on a 4 night trip.
Please note that these amounts are suggested levels of gratuities and that this is entirely at the discretion of our guests aboard the M/V Aqua.
Aqua welcomes families with children, as long as they are age seven or older. Four of their suites are interconnected to cater for families. And accommodation for one child or additional adult is available. Their naturalist guides are very friendly with kids and all of the staff will provide the necessary care for a family.
